Hostal Callejón del Agua is very new, opened in 2006,

find in Seville, because it should be a hotel! More

In the last few years a number of backpacker and youth hostels have started up in Sevilla. These are places where mostly young travelers can get a shared room with others for cheap. In most cases there are the little extras that this crowd is looking for - free internet access, laundry service or machines, a bar, lockers, kitchen facilities and in some cases organized activities. The real difference between these places and "hostals" is sharing a room with people you don't know. The above list of "hostals" and "pensiones" are places which are similar to small hotels and all sleeping quarters are private (i.e.: you don't share a bedroom with people you don't know.) But in some cases you may share a bathroom.
Below are my recommendations run by professional's with experience in youth or backpacker hostals. They are also legitimate with a license to be open and to run this type of accommodation. Beware as there are a few out there which are running on semi-legal terms! Prices all begin around 20 Euros for 1 person.
Hostel One
Prices start at: 20 €
Hostel One is on Calle Jesus del Gran poder, which runs parallel to the Alameda, a popular spot for nightlife, tapas, etc. This area has enjoyed several years of renovations and is a nice location to stay, although it is a little further from the main sights and monuments. Internet, kitchen facilities, luggage lockers (fee), and more. More

The location is close to the central shopping district, and nightlife / food spots such as the Plaza Alfalfa.

Triana Backpackers
Prices start at: 20 €
Triana Backpackers has been around longer than most of the other backpacker hostals. The location is across the river, and while it is less central it is also close to a lot of nightlife on calle Betis, plus plenty of good tapas bars. You'll have to walk to get to the main sights - about 15 - 20 minutes. Triana is much like a small town adjacent to Seville, and many prefer this.

Above you have seen my recommendations, and as I work
closely with the above hotels and hostals, know them well
and answer all of the questions I do recommend trying above.
However, I realize there are more hotels and hostals out
there and you may be looking for something I don't have!
Rather than list every hotel in Seville, especially those
out of the city center, I have selected only city center
hotels with two exceptions - Triana and a few close to the
train station. Check out the new list of hotels
and hostals in the city center through my booking
partner, Sol.
