The building was once the Mudejar Pavilion, designed by ANibal Gonzalez for the 1929 Ibero-American Expo. It now holds the collections of the Museum of Arts and Popular Customs. Just recently the city turned down an offer from a large hotel chain to convert this into a 5 star hotel.
